This is my new vicmarc VL300 wood turners lathe. It a top of the range wood lathe. Very heavy and powerful. It makes
a great metal spinning lathe. You can also see a few spinning tools and the Animal cup chuck.. Its Nylon but will be made
in steel soon. Below are the three main spinning tools I use to make the cups. 1inch round tool. 3/4 inch combinationion tool and one inch combination . I use the I inch comboination tool the most . The onlt othe Tool I need to make a set of cups is the Trim tool. Its a sharp cutter for truing up.

Below a Animal cup is spun to the first chuck. From here it goes to the finish chuck.and then is either finished off with a satin finish or buffed on a polisher to a mirror finish. Perconally I like somewhere between the two . It seems to me removing every sign of the hand spun process is like removing the signs of brush strokes from a Rembrant. So I like to polish to a fine finish without first cutting the spin line out.

Some part spun items Thet need a pickle and clean

My circle cutter. Its an old J heine one made in Sydney. It's lovely.

Below is a collection of chucks . the top shelf is new nylon. Blow its mainly old chucks .The steel one
on the scond from top shelf is the Gazzo finish chuck. Bottom are some maple chucks.
I do not like spinning on maple. Its dusty to turn and not as long lasting as Nylon.
